Library Collection

Early in its history, OFCGJ established a library for those wishing to explore Jungian ideas in depth.  We have over 2200 volumes and over 1000 videos, audiotapes, and CDs on such subjects as psychology, philosophy, art, and mythology.  The library contains the private collection of our founder, Dottie Kyle, and other generous patrons, as well as our own acquisitions that we often purchase at members' requests. The library was named after Fae Dougan, an early member, for her tireless contributions to the library and organization.

ARAS

We have an online subscription to ARAS (Archive for Research in Archetypal Symbolism), which is a collection of mythological, ritualistic, and symbolic images (with commentary) from around the world.   Images and text may be copied at the library for ten cents a page.

The library has subscriptions to the following periodicals:

  • Journal of Analytic Psychology

Lecture Tapes and CDs

We record our Friday night lectures and Saturday workshops. These tapes give you a chance to listen to any lectures or workshops you may have missed or want to review. Tape recordings of past programs date back to 1977, and include lectures by Joseph Campbell, Robert Johnson, Marion Woodman, James Hillman and many other notable speakers.  All tapes are available for checkout by members.  (We are currently in the process of transferring our tapes to digital media.)
